NPO uitzending over PMDD bij Dit is de kwestie: “Helse hormonen”

Op 4 oktober was er op NPO een mooie documentaire over PMDD te zien: Helse hormonen. In deze documentaire zijn drie vrouwen aan het woord, Dolores, Valeria en mede-oprichtster van onze stichting: Heleen.
Alle drie de vrouwen ervaren op hun eigen manier veel klachten van PMDD en allemaal proberen ze er op hun eigen manier mee om te gaan. Er komen diverse onderdelen aan bod. Leefstijl, hormonen, chemische menopauze, het laten verwijderen van de eierstokken, maar ook het hebben van suïcidale gedachten. En niet te vergeten: het onbegrip en de onwetendheid van artsen, waardoor diagnose en hulp veel te lang duurt.
